The Sixth SIGSAND Symposium on Research in Systems Analysis and Design, 2007

Location: University of Tulsa, OK, USA

Dates: May 12, 13, 2007 (Sat-Sun)

Hosted by the College of Business, University of Tulsa

An annual event of the Association for Information Systems Special Interest Group on Systems Analysis and Design (AIS SIGSAND) http://nfp.cba.utulsa.edu/bajaja/SIGSAND/

AIS SIGSAND

In March 2002 and April 2003, researchers in the area of Systems Analysis and Design (SA&D) met in Miami to discuss the state of research in this area. Attendees formed the consensus that SA&D lies in the ‘core’ of the Information Systems (IS) discipline, and as a consequence, research examining aspects of SA&D should be an integral part of IS research. A proposal for an AIS SIG on Systems Analysis and Design was developed and approved by the AIS Council in December 2003. The inaugural event of SIGSAND was held in June 2004 at Memorial University of Newfoundland, Canada, followed by the 4th symposium held in April 2005 at the University of Cincinnati. Several of the themes discussed at these events were further developed in Bajaj et. al. (2005)*. The fifth symposium was jointly hosted by the University of British Columbia and Simon Fraser University in May 2006.

The Sixth symposium will continue the tradition of free registration, a small and friendly setting and emphasis on the discussion of nascent research that have been the hallmarks of SIGSAND Research Symposiums. All meals will be covered from Friday evening to Sunday afternoon courtesy of the College of Business, University of Tulsa. Details are in the links below. .
