Outlets for SAND Research

There are several quality outlets for SAND research. These include MIS journals such as MISQ, ISR, JAIS and JMIS as well as more technical MIS journals such as the Journal of Database management and DATABASE. It is important to note that journals in the Computer Science area, such as IEEE Transactions on Knowledge and Data Engineering, ACM Transactions on Database Systems and others have also historically published high quality papers in SAND. Finally, a lot of quality SAND research is published in European journals such as Requirements Engineering, Information Systems and EJIS.

DISCLAIMER: The names of journals in the above discussion are merely to illustrate the different areas in which SAND research may be published, and should by no means be considered an exclusive list of quality journals for SAND research.

Research

SIGSAND has offered an AMCIS (America’s Conference on Information Systems) Track since 2004. The Track consists of a varying number of minitracks. In addition, the SIGSAND symposia offer an opportunity for the discussion of research in a workshop like setting.
